THUNDERSTORM Taken by Mohammad Gitizadeh on November 22, 2017 @ Kangan, Bushehr, Iran

Traditional sailors in Persian Gulf believe that Leymer storm, which is the most important storm in this area, happens in the mid-November every year. In this phenomenon the hot and humid weather of the Persian Gulf changes radically overnight into a cool and dry weather. Rainy season will be immediately started after heavy rain and hail. In Wednesday November 22nd 2017 Leymer has been started in Kangan, south of Iran. Heavy rain and hail falls for 3 hours and it has been reported that 50mm of precipitation falls in Kangan area, one-third of yearly precipitation in average.
This photo is stacked from 200 frames captured continuously form 2:30am until 3:30am. The Leymer storm has been stared form the left side of photo and moved to right side. Because of upcoming of storm and the vast volume of rain and hail falls, continuing on photography was impossible for me and I forced to stop it and got inside my home.
